Plex PS4 App Never Worked for last 4 years

I have been using PLEX for more than 4 years now. But still I couldn’t get PS4 app to work for last 4 years. It always freezes on sign on page. I can’t choose account or enter pin to login. I uninstalled Plex app so many times and installed again. App is only stable when I disabled secure connections. When I set secure connections to prefered app start to freeze again.

I’m so disappointed about this issue and last 4 years I didn’t use Plex on my PS4 due to this reason. In my house all TV, iphone, ipad and android tablets apps works find with secure connection enabled.

Do you guys have any solution for this issue?

This is super weird, seems like an edge case, possibly may have something to do with the ps4 rather the Plex app. You may not want to do this, but you could completely clear/wipe you’re ps4 to default factory and try installing the Plex app on a fresh ps4 and see if that works. Other than that, really no idea tbh.

Hi thank you very much for the reply. yes its very weird. I think there is nothing wrong in my PS4 as everything works perfectly except Plex. Plex app starts to freeze only when secure connections set to preferred or required. if it disabled then everything works fine.

Are you using Plex app on PS4 while secure connections set to prefered on PMS?

I guess there is a bug in the plex app that they never pay attention to fix it. Plex isn’t treat PS4 well. They actually doesn’t bother PSVR support too. But xbox app is always ahead than PS4.

Please PLEX fix this annoying bug and make it usable again.

Yes, I have mine set to preferred. Maybe check some network settings on your ps4, some may not be compatible with the Plex app. Hmm…:thinking:

I had set all network settings like LAN networks and ip addresses to work without Auth.
Can you please tell me your network settings? may be I can compare with mine.
