Occasionally the server will decide to transcode from 1080p to SD for no reason. This is happening when playing from the same computer as the server (so network bandwidth isn’t an issue).
Once this happens I need to end the playback and refresh the player in order to have it play at original quality again. It’s quite sporadic, sometimes it will happen after 5-10 episodes, sometimes it will be 50+ episodes before it happens. I’ve seen this happen on and off for several months now, with multiple server versions, so I think it’s an issue that’s been around for a while (I did several google searches and couldn’t find anything that quite matched though).
Does anyone have any suggestions about this?
