Plex re-adding movies randomly

This morning I woke up to 100s of Plex notifications of new media added to movies, this was in fact old media that had already been part of my library? I did do an update to service 1.16.5.1488 yesterday but this happened a few hours after that. How best try and debug what’s happened? These are all now appearing in my recently added movies.

Uncheck the option Settings>Library>>Empty trash automatically after every scan

Thanks. Strange it has never happened before.

This fixed my issue but today the option is checked again and the same re-adding it my media. Anybody else randomly get this option rechecked?
