Plex running really slow after moving supporting appdata folders

Server Version#: 1.22.1.4275
Player Version#: 4.53.0

I’ve recently had to move the plex App Data folder structure using the recommended method of updating the registry with the steps detailed here. I have moved it from the OS SSD to a standard HDD (not sure if that’s the sole reason), because now loading plex takes up to 5 minutes just for the home page.
Previously it was almost instantaneous. I was expecting some lag moving it from an SSD but no where near this much.

No, it should not take 5 minutes to load the home page. Sounds like something went wrong.

Restart PMS, wait 3 minutes without doing anything, load Plex web and wait for the home page to load. Grab the entire PMS log package from settings and post the zip file here.

Could you determine the brand and model name of the HDD?

I have updated the post with the latest log file.

It’s a WD Red 4TB NAS drive.

Could you please cite the actual model number/code?

Actually I tell a lie, I just removed the WD 4TB. The drive is actually a Seagate 4TB ST4000VN000-1H4168.

Is that the code you were after?

Please turn of verbose logging and try again.

Yes, thank you.

Originally, I was afraid that your drive is using “shingled magnetic recording”.
But that doesn’t seem to be case. (Otherwise it would be even slower, I reckon.)

Still, this drive is a relatively slow one. It has lower platter RPMs, and only a fraction of the cache size of its larger siblings.
