Plex saves unavailable posters in metadata and uses them by default

Server Version#: 1.32.0.6973
Player Version#:

Plex TV Series scanner.
Some server that provides posters for Plex exhibits malicious web-breaking behavior by blocking valid requests (403). These blocked posters get saved to metadata and used by default, resulting in blank previews for tv series.

Example of saved “poster”:

Could you provide the url for this or even just what show/season/episode this was for?

For example: Love, Death & Robots.

Gives me 403. Sometimes. That’s sucks, but why is it saved in Plex?

Same issue here - TMDB posters are not showing at all. But If I chose manually from list of posters something from other source (from fanart.tv, for example) - it showing perfectly fine. Is there a way to change priority of poster sources? Because all my library is blank right now and changing posters one-by-one manually for dozens of entries is no fun at all.
