Plex Server abruptly cut all connections

Greetings,

Last evening around 8:00 PM, my Plex server suddenly cut connections that were in use and never came back up. Took a look at the server and restarted the app, didn’t work so restarted the dedicated Windows 7 x64 box and still didn’t work.

Went to plex.tv and logged in and deleted the server from devices and reopened the server and saw it was saying there was an unclaimed server on the network. Took the server and all was well for about 10 minutes. Then lost connection again.

From there, I started deleting the server from the devices repeatedly but nothing internally or externally would connect. No configuration changes have been made to my network as this was just a sudden and complete halt of plex.

It got to the point where I deleted the entire VM of Plex and all the data that was housed on it and spun up a brand new VM. Installed noting but VMWare tools and Plex 9.16.2 and looked like everything was working around 2:30 AM.

Woke up this morning and nothing is working again. Deleted the server from plex.tv devices and now only the server itself can log in to Plex. No other devices can reach it, changed the ports around for external access but still will not work.

Just checked from my phone from the outside and got a message about the server being in relay mode even though the server says it is fully reachable from the outside.

I’m at my wits end with this, there is nothing more I can change and it’s driving my family nuts to not have Plex now.

Thank you to anyone that can help, I will upload what ever log files are needed.

Updates since yesterday.

Created a brand new Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS server and installed the latest Plex package on the server and looked like it was working but then once I logged in with my account. It gave me the same issue of saying the server was unreachable securely.

I then created a brand new Plex.tv account and logged in and looked like everything was working, but low and behold. It to failed on me with the same error message.

Finally, removed my enterprise grade firewall and put in a dumb, off the shelf D-Link router and still have the same issue! I put the machine in DMZ, I changed the IP address of the device. Nothing worked and still couldn’t connect securely.

Went through the logs and this was the only thing that really stuck out in my mind of what might be going on.

Of course I could be completely wrong so here is the rest of the log file.

Gotta love when an ISP causes your grief.
