Server Version#: 1.18.1.1973
My server is running behind a Apache reverse proxy.
I did set the Custom server access URLs. Anything is working flawlessly but the server somehow thinks it’s not reachable.
Did I miss a setting?

Firewall blocking your port? Router?
Why would remote access work if a firewall is blocking?
I’m in the same situation. Everything works fine, and a video is streaming over the cellular network to my phone as I type. The options menu, however, isn’t convinced. It won’t say that my server is accessible until the planets are in syzygy and the seventh seal is broken.
Or something.
How exactly does plex check whether it’s accessible?
This problem comes up here a few times a week.
There’s a bug. You can get it to turn “green” by disabling remote access and then re-enabling it. Then it will go back to “red” and say not available after a few seconds. But it still works. Like I said, it comes up a lot and is a well-known bug. Guess it’s low on the list of fixes.
Weird i searched before I posted and did not find anything. Maybe for the wrong terms. Thanks anyway!
I’ve also seen this behavior where Plex Web reports remote access not working, when it actually does. Canyouseeme.org also reports my external Plex port available during this time, so the problem appears to be isolated to the way Plex Web verifies remote access.
My obseveration is that this is done by having hosted Plex servers send packets to your externally available port for Plex. If your personal Plex server gets those packets from the hosted/external Plex servers appropriately then it reports that remote access works. If it doesn’t get those packets it reports that remote access is not available. My theory is that from time to time there are issues with the Plex hosted servers that are supposed to send those verification packets. When that problem resolves, then Plex Web reports remote access is available again. In some cases I haven’t had to disable/reenable remote access. The actual availability of remote access to work from a Plex client is not impacted.
I was just about to ask this very question as I’ve been having this issue for a few weeks. Glad to know I’m not alone and that it’s nothing major.
