Plex Server Crashing Randomly

Thanks - do you have a %localappdata%\CrashDumps folder

That would be used for crash dumps if at some point you applied the regedit for getting windows to capture the crashes - see Crash Logs: Plex Media Server | Plex Support

If you do have the CrashDumps folder and regedit in place - see if there are dumps coinciding with the Application Event log entries you found

Greetings,
Within the last few weeks my Plex server has become extremely unstable and is almost impossible to keep online. It stays alive for only a few minutes I think. The tray icon is there but nothing can connect to it until I shut it down and restart it. I have noticed the errors below repeating in the console, but no idea if that has anything to do with it.

What is strange is that if you are on a chrome session in the settings section for the server while it “crashes”, your session stays alive and the console updates, but if you try to open another plex tab in the browser it won’t let you access anything at all. I am going to see if the music I am streaming eventually stops but I think it will stay active since the console shows life. I can send out my log if you like, but should this be done on PM? I am really really not looking forward to the nuclear option as I have spent literally hours and hours crafting my 138 playlists
But then again if I can’t use the database at any given time without rebooting, its a moot point. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Repair database(s)

As suggested, please see this support article Repair a Corrupted Database | Plex Support

A number of you had crashes when doing Clean Bundles manually or when it runs in scheduled tasks

The beta released today 1.29.1.6316 has a fix for the Clean Bundles crashes

Please update to it and let me know if the issue is resolved

Thanks

  • (Maintenance) Plex Media Server could quit unexpectedly when asked to clean bundles under certain conditions
