PMS on Shield - Library scans don't add new content

Moved from macOS to an Nvidia Shield Pro for PMS a couple of weeks ago. Overall, performance has been awesome until I noticed two days ago that new content wasn’t being picked up by Plex.

All media is stored on an UnRaid NAS and had been working just fine until now. Now new movies added won’t scan at all, either automatically or from a forced library scan. Haven’t tried adding new TV yet, but existing TV shows that were added recently refuse to add metadata (they just sit there saying, “Episode X”).

Have stopped/started the PMS service and rebooted the Shield multiple times to no avail.

Have seen posts in the past that said this was due to a faulty server update that an additional updated corrected it. Has anything changed with the Shield PMS server in the past few days? Anyone else currently seeing this behavior?

Update (to myself): Interestingly and additionally, when I try to manually edit any entries I get the error message, “Your changes could not be saved.” So there’s definitely more going on here.

Have tried clearing the caches on the Shield (internal and “external” storage) to see if that would help but to no avail. Any ideas, anyone?

SOLVED! It was a corrupted database. Followed the steps in the post, above, and that seems to have fixed things.
