Plex Server doesn't fetch all the metadata for movies or tv shows

Hi,
This is my first post here guys, and I have a problem with my plex server, and the problem is:

  • When adding new movies or tv shows, the server doesn’t fetch all the metadata and info, and just grap the posters and backgrounds, and some other info, and doesn’t fetch the movie plot or the cast members and their photos, and the movie launch date.
  • if i try to refresh metadata for a movie for example, the circle on the poster keeps running even after the circle on the upper lift corner of server interface is stopped, and then nothing happens, and the circle only stops if i changed the poster of the movie.
  • for the movies I’m using Scanner: Plex Movie, and Agent: Plex Movie
  • for the tv shows I’m using Scanner: Plex TV Series, and Agent: Plex Series
  • I’ve tried to downgrade the Plex Server to Version 1.41.5.9522, but the problem is the same.
    Can anyone help me plz, I can’t solve this for 2 months now.

Your server logs might show some pointers of what’s going wrong.
From what you describe, this could be a problem with the agent failing to communicate with Plex’s metadata backend.

The Plex Media Server database is corrupted.
