Plex server fully accessible outside network, yet friends can't see it

So I just upgraded my Plex server from an old Mac to a brand-new Synology 920+. I also have a Plex Pass. My migration to the new server is complete, and things are working well inside my own network. At first the new server wasn’t accessible outside the network, so I did the usual port forwarding on 32400 and now the server says it’s fully accessible outside my network.

Only it isn’t.

I created a test account and shared my libraries with the test account, and then used my phone mobile data to get outside my WiFi network… At first the test account couldn’t even see that my libraries were shared with it.

Then I went into the server network settings and disabled secure connections. I left IPv6 connections on. Once I did that, I refreshed the test account Plex viewer, and then it could see that the server was shared, but it’s still inaccessible. I have a static IP for the Synology on the router, UPnP is enabled too, the port forwarding is ostensibly correct because the server itself says so, so this should Just Work, right?

This could be a DNS rebind issue, I suppose, but I run my DNS through 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 Cloudflare, and that should be okay, since it’s in Plex’s own documentation.

Any ideas about what could be going on? Thanks!

Thanks! I’ve attached the logs to the original post.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate the help!

I’ll worry about the encoding issues when I’ve gotten the remote access issue sorted. I hate ripping DVDs and tend to do it as expediently as possible. The other issue was because I recently removed that file because my Roku tends to gag on 4K media.

On the front, I turned off IPv6 and adjusted the port forwarding to 49200 and didn’t get any joy. Secure connections = Preferred was already set. I’ve seen the remote access green->red issue in the past and generally ensuring the port forwarding is correct fixes that. The remote access stays green this time, but it did before as well.

Testing done on mobile data from my phone to get outside my network and not through WiFi. I could be making some basic mistake here but I was working just fine before on the Mac Mini. Nothing’s really changed, unfortunately.

Thanks again!
