Hello!
Remote Access works fine. My issue is with accessing the Plex server from the Internal network.
The Plex server is running on Windows 11.
I’ve got a Windows 10 client and I’ve also attempted access on smartphone.
Windows firewall has been disabled on the server, no change.
If I try and access http://serverIP:32400/web I receive an error “The Site can’t be reached, The connection was reset”
Same on the smartphone.
Confirmed it is the correct IP my looking at the “Remote Access” page.
If I use the plex.app.tv URL this works.
If I try https://serverIP:32400/web it states the certificate is not valid, which I get as it is using the IP address, but if I click through, I can get to the server. Which is interesting. I have other services running on specific ports and these are all accessible from the client.
I am not made any changes to the Plex config or Firewall.
Does anyone have any ideas why Plex would stop responding / be blocked from the http url?
Manage to solve it: Plex settings - Network - secure connections.
Was set to “Required” must have changed at some point with some updates. As my shortcuts used to work pointing to http.
Tested by setting to “preferred” did the trick. At least I know now. Will probably set it back to “Required” and use the Plex TV app url.
Thanks
P
