Plex Server not finding media

There is only one movie in the folder. The log seems to find the movie but won’t populate it in the movie library. Not sure where to go from here.

In my experience, when Plex can’t find media files on a linux server, it’s almost always a permissions issue. Take a look at this guide.

sudo chown -R plex /home/bryan/movies

That’s where the magic happens. I thought it was happy with the user having the rights to the media directory. But user plex wants to have the rights to the media folder.
