Plex Server not showing up when accessing locally

I have set up a Plex server on Ubuntu. Server is running. When I try to connect to it to configure it I get logged into my plex account but can’t see the server. No configuration no nothing. Do I have to enable remote access or smth like that? The IP-Adress works, it just doesnt let me set up my server. I’ve tried it several times and it doesnt work. Please help me. Thanks

Make certain you’re using the loopback adapter address when setting up locally.
Don’t use a FQDN / hostname.

Also make certain your LAN addressing is RFC-1918 compliant
(192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x → 172.31.x.x) and you and server are on the same subnet.

If you still can’t get it resolved, I have a little shell script which, in conjunction with the Plex Claim Token, will get it claimed for you.
