Plex Server Not Working

I have a problem and I can’t figure it out. I just moved and everything worked perfect at my other house and now all of the sudden, I can’t use remote access. I can only use my media server when I am at home on my computer. I can’t even get it to work through my roku. I have searched a lot of articles and I can’t find anything that will help fix the problem. The only way that I can get it to work is if I disable my firewall through my antivirus software. I would love some help in figuring this one out.

Here is my following equipment and how I have things set up currently:
My router is brand new R8000-100NAS NETGEAR - Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router
My modem is SB8200 ARRIS - SURFboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem
My hard drive is a WD My Cloud Drive WDBCTL0080HWT

I have the hard drive attached to the router with an ethernet cable. I am not opposed to trying any other attachment ways if there is a better way. I am open to any suggestions please.

Also, if you have the need, you can email me at drkoufax@yahoo.com. Thanks. I would love any help please!!!

It sounds as if you already know what the issue is. Do you have an exception set up in your firewall to pass Plex traffic? If so, remove and reconfigure it.

I have already done that and I am still having the issue.

Windows has noticed that you are not in your usual home network.
(I assume you have a different router/ISP now.)

Because of this, you must ensure that Windows has classified the network connection as ‘private’ and not ‘public’.

You might also have to change how you set up the remote access of Plex.
You probably used UPnP until now, which means everything was set up automatically.
You may have to switch to a manually created ‘port forwarding’ now (which you create in the settings of your router).
