Plex server on nvidia shield pro unable to mount external driver

So not the most technical of people but 6 months or so ago I managed to set up my plex server on my nvidia shield pro. Come today and it couldn’t connect to it after having added some additional movies to the device.

So I deleted the server to try and recreate and I just can’t; I’ve tried uninstalling everything and creating a new account to try and get the original prompts but nada. The weird thing was the server bit is empty on my settings options. I do not know what I have done nor how to fix it! Any advice greatly appreciated!

At the moment I have my old and new plex accounts and neither seem to allow me to add my own media - when I click that it sends me to my laptop to download the server which is already downloaded and when I try and launch the links http://127.0.0.1:32400/web it loads up, puts me in plex but I am in a loop to redownload the installer I have already downloaded.

5 hours in and going a bit crazy!

Try this:

@City-Cobra

Thanks for this - unfortunately it has not worked. I have set a pin on both accounts and restarted the app but there is nothing under Plex Media Server on my account.

Obviously the second account never had a server connected so that is understandable that it cannot find one. It is just super frustrating.

@City-Cobra do you know how I attach my external hdd and create a new server on my second account? I was hoping that with a fresh account I would get the prompts but I haven’t. Not sure what I am missing this time round.

Try to Reset your Shield.
