DS916+ was playing all kinds of Video till a few days ago.
When I try to play the video (.MKV) from the NAS, I see an icon going round in circles and after a couple of minutes, I get the following message:
Playback Error:
Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install.
The logs for this is uploaded in zipped form.
I have been re-installing the Plex Server on the NAS numerous times (after completely uninstalling the previous version). Still cannot get over this issue.
Funnily, the same video file streams out of Plex Server installed in my PC (windows 10 Pro) without any issues.

Nope still cannot play. How come I am able to play the same from a windows 10 PC running the same plex server software, but cannot do so with the NAS (Synology DS916+)?
I have plex server running in my windows 10 PC. I mapped the Synology 916+ drive to the PC and added the media files to the server library.
All the media files are working perfectly. I don’t want to have the PC always running just because of the plex server.
I need to get hold of the one version before the current version of Plex server for Synology NAS. I suspect that it is the server version specific to the NAS is giving an issue.
would appreciate if some one could get me the file
