Last week, after working properly for quite some time my plex server became unresponsive over my local network when trying to reach it from the ip address. Whenever I go to **.. . :32400/web/index.html I get an error saying that no data was sent and it has an ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE.
I have tried opening it directly from the Synology app page, stopping and restarting the program, restarting the nas, and even reinstalled Plex, all to no avail.
The strangest thing is that by going to the Plex web app (plex.tv) and on all my clients (remote and local) there are not any issues and everything plays well. Does any one have any idea how I can further investigate this issue to get the web portal accessible from my Synology? I’d like the option of not resetting my NAS because I have over 64TB’s of data on it that I don’t want to put at risk of losing/corrupting.
This system sits on my network connected to a Ubiquiti switch that is connected to a Ubiquiti Security Gateway that receives it’s public IP via my modem using IP Pass through. So yes, the NAS is connected to the internet and other services on it are working correctly to the internet through those devices.
Most of the activity for this server is through Plex installed on remote televisions and mobile devices. Streaming through plex.tv has been very minimal, I’ve only used it for testing since the issue.
Hey Trumpy, What does that error exactly mean? I looked at the URL you had below that also and my permissions for my shares and plex are all set to R/O.
