Well about a week latter and the connection timeouts are back Not sure why they came back, but my cache drive died. don’t see how that could have an impact since all my Plex data is stored on a seperate drive (not /appdata).
When is the last time you rebooted your router? The only time I’ve had this problem was when I was trying out different DNS servers and DNS rebinding kicked in. Making all the local clients use the router for DNS, but I guess that depends on the router model.
Sorry I’m late. I finally got around to build and install my new server. I went towards a docker-compose solution and tried a few setups for Plex. Here’s below my current (and working) compose script. I have 1 more test to do and it is to try the latest version with a host network, with a working Plex config.
I went with the suggestion of @bobertc and so far so good. I had issues before with direct play but it seems to work now for some reason. Here’s the docker compose script.
Been too busy to mess with this, but last week I made the port mapping changes as outlined above and updated Plex to the latest version. It’s been about a week and no connection timeout errors!
