Plex Server Remote Library Access Issues

Server Version#:1.13.9.5456
Player Version#:Various
Hi,

I am having issues with one of my plex servers accessing the media Library which resides on another PC in my local network, also, remote access for this server seems to be intermittent at best.

To give a bit more information on the set up i am using:

PC-1 - A desktop PC with Windows 10, Holds my media Library, runs a Plex server which i only allow Local network access to.
PC-2 - A laptop running ESXI, hosts a windows 10 Virtual Machine. This VM runs a plex server which i allow remote access to. the server uses the media library from PC-1.
These machines are connected to separate switches. Each switch connects directly to my router. All on the same local network.

The plex server on PC-2 has recently started loosing access to the media Library. When trying to select a media I get a “playback error” stating that i need to “check if the media drive exists and is mounted correctly”. However, this is not constant. Sometimes it works, others it doesn’t. I cant find anything what would be causing this to change.

In the same point, if i try to access the server on PC-2 via a player from my tv or web app on the local network, sometimes it is working perfectly, others it is available but cannot access media, or it will just not be available at all.

When trying to access the server on PC-2 Remotley, it is either unavailable, available but cant find media, working but using the relay and then on some rare occasions, it works fine. Again, i cant determine the reason for the inconstant behaviour.

Any hints on where to check or advice on set up here would be very appreciated!
