my plex server was running for several weeks and months without any problems, yesterday evening everything was okay. this morning, suddenly i could not reach it via the web client. i can switch to the local server and it would tell me that remote access is fully available. but all clients can not reach the server (please see screenshots) i thought it would maybe a temporarily authentication issue, but it was not getting better all day. i can see similar problems all over the forum, but nothing seems to help. i did not change anything between todays morning and yesterday evening. i updated to the new server version, but the problem still persists. PLEASE HELP
Let me get this clear. You have 2 servers “flix” and “Flix”. You can access “flix”, but not “Flix”. “flix” is on your local network. So where is “Flix”?
Your log appears to be from “flix”. That won’t help diagnose the issue for “Flix”.
You know what? There is only one server, one ip adress, i have no idea where the second flix is coming from. I deleted this server in the devices tab, unfortunately the one that is not available is the right one. I think i have the same problem as this guy here: Can't access remotely since Plex.tv API update - authentication server
how can i send you logs? i can login with ssh, plex service is running, but no way to get there with any app or browser.
I deleted the weird, wrong, local server in the devices tab, after that i had no access at all (only ssh). Then i realized i have an old Preferences.xml in a server backup and downloaded it. Restart - and bang, server was up and running again. The only question still remains … what the hell happened from one evening to the next morning (i really did not change anything - in fact i was sleeping). anyway, at the moment its running.
