Plex server(s) unavailable on TV and mobile devices

I would like to start off with the fact that im an ubernoob regarding all this network stuff. A good friend of mine created my entire setup.
As of 2 weeks ago I was no longer able to connect to my server outside my home-network. Today ( or yesterday( i wasnt on)) I also lost the connection to my server on my LG smart TV and on my android app.
I can still access the Plex owned media, my friends server is still in the list but mine has disappeared completly.

I tried rebooting the server but that made no difference. Reading online i see alot of similar problems popping up…Is it something from the Plex server?

Any advise is very much appreciated.

As for troubleshooting… can you confirm this issue persists after updating to the latest public release of the Plex Media Server? As of today that’s version 1.23.2.4656

If your own server won’t still show up after updating… please check if you can still access it directly via the machine itself – e.g. opening http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in a browser if your Plex Media Server is actually on the very same machine from where you’re operating. If it’s on a different machine inside your home network, use http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web

The last one available from the plex server for a Synology Nas is 1.23.1.4571-6000. Version 1.23.2.4656 appears to be for servers running on windows.
Im able to access the server on the NAS - cast media from the NAS to phone or chromecast but am unable to access the server from my phone, tv or chromecast.

What will those other apps show in place of your library/media? Does it show as missing/offline?

Sounds more like a general network issue than specific to your remote access setup.

On my TV and Android app, my server has completely disappeared but my friends server still shows though unreachable.
The movies, shows from Plex itself are available.

General network issue as in regards to your home network.

Can you please do one more check… open Plex in your browser and navigate to Settings > [Server Name] > General. Does that section show a message like Server signed in as <your account name>, offering an option to sign-out?
If it doesn’t you might have logged your server out from your account. This way your clients will no longer show it. In this case you should have an option to sign-in, re-linking your server with your Plex account.

Ok - created a little problem by signing out and couldn’t sign in and claim the server. But i discovered that way that i never gotten the synology plex app update to 1.23.2.4656. So, i was able to fix that and update the app.
The server is once again visible on my home network and it appears also visible again outside my home network…
Im gonna check with some friends if they can access it and let you know. Fingers crossed… :crossed_fingers:

Yup - it seemed to have worked. Got word from a friend he can access my server too again.
