Plex server see data, but dont work

I have a WD Mycloud ext2 ultra and I have media server loaded to the NAS. All plex apps run from same network. Everything ised to work some time ago, but one day it just stopped working.

Server can see the data on the drive, but when I go to libraries, it just say “something went wrong” on every library.

I even logged in via plex.tv from different network and I cant even delete libraries…

Wish I could just reset my account and start over.

I have Plex Life Pass so deleting is not an option

Anyone with idees

Odds are you just have a corrupt database. Fairly easy to fix. see Repair a Corrupted Database | Plex Support

If you post your server logs I can confirm that guess.

Im not very technicsl, only know farely basic network stuff… probably easier to go and delete the files as per what you just linked me… if that doesnt work, ill try to get logs somehow… lol…

Thanks for the quick response

Make sure you stop the app first

Which app? The server itself on the nas

Im now trying to figure out how to access the data files on the nas…

Yes, before deleting the database and having plex recreate it, plex should not be running

Im clearly useless… i have no idea how to ge to these files…

I have tried uninstalling server before, but the nas obviously kept the files and therefor reinstall didt do the trick

if I have my NAS on 10.0.0.4 on a WD Mycloud ex2 Ultra, how do I go about accessing the plex server files?

If you’re just looking to download logs you can just go into your regular server settings where you can view your media in Plex. (little wrench in the upper right) It’s under the troubleshooting section. (Download logs)

I wouldn’t do anything until a corrupted database is confirmed. The backups are there for a reason and a fresh install may not be necessary. You will lose all your watch history, fixed matched items and libraries.

For a backup or fresh install you’ll still want to check out these links

Scroll all the way to the bottom and you’ll see two WD entries. I’m not familiar with your setup so I’m not sure which one to follow.

So I just went to download logs…
It downloaded a zip file, but the zip file is empty

Same issue on a WD My Cloud. You can go into the file system and get the logs in the same place you would go to delete the database BUT…I think you’re going to have to wait until a tech can come along and give you specific instructions.

That’s a dangerous thing to say around this place lately lol

I’m out of my element on this one @ChuckPa

The WD in our Lab is physically turned off ( not in WOL mode ).
I’ve sent a message to power it up

Well been busy through the night copying entire WD data to backup location, am about to format the WD to get rid of this issue.

As you can see I had enough of this now… hahaha

I couldn’t care if I lose all watched and unwatched data etc. as long as everything can work again.

As i will be starting over now, would it be better to run my Plex server from a raspberry pi 3 with the NAS only being the storage, for any future issues or is the Pi slower???

I have no idea??
