Plex server settings unavailable / agents showing as "loading"

I’m not sure what happened, everything was working fine yesterday morning, i loaded my files and the metadata loaded. then later in the morning i loaded more files and i discovered today that those files did not “match” the metadata so i tried to push through manually and nothing happens, i see that ‘agents’ show are loading rather than listed as per usual and when i go to my settings it get the notice that server settings are unavailable.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
