Plex server stopping on NAS

The Plex server stops automatically on my Synology DS920+. When I go to the package center, I have manually run it again. This happens every 15-30 mins I’d estimate. Any ideas?

Also, I have Plex running on my PC. I’ve not had these issues running Plex from my PC. I’m moving from the PC to the NAS. I moved the media and also the metadata. I’ve noticed that my NAS will not play my .mkv files, so I’m in the process of converting them all to .mp4 files (using my PC). (I’m not sure if it is relevant that the NAS won’t play .mkv files, but I wanted to mention that they are currently on the NAS.)

You put media in your Plex share?

The logs indicate PMS is scanning itself and blowing up! That’s what happens.

  1. Create new shares, with names you want
  2. Move the media there.
  3. In the future, please mind the warnings & request to not place media in the Plex share. ( I create those warning files with each package installation/update)
