Plex Server stops responding for 30 minutes to an hour randomly

Server OS: Windows Server 2022

For the last week or two, Plex has stopped responding at random times (even on the localhost). I’ve tried downgrading versions and rebuilding the database.

In the example logs according to my monitoring it started around 20:54 and recovered at 21:48 by itself. When I notice the issue I can see the CPU usage for the Plex Media Server process using a constant 12-13% CPU. If I right click the tray icon during these times and click exit it does appear to exit gracefully.
I’ve run out of ideas and hoping someone can see something in the logs I couldn’t, thanks!

Same issue here - nothing I try has helped

we have found on the setting/dashboard page when you look at the film playing it is “direct play” opposed to “indirect play”, makes a difference. You can see it in the Mbsp which change from 3 to 34 Mbsp. But, not sure how you make that change in the setting yet…we had a IT guy look at it.

for us it was something to do with Plex not connecting with the local server. Basically it was showing as “Nearby”
