Plex Server - Synology - broken/won't start/ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

So it’s down again. I don’t know what’s been broken half a year ago, but it’s impossible to use it. Anyone having the same issue?- at the moment, I simply can’t access server, nor web interface, neither DLNA library from iOS,macOS or Win10 explorers/shared folders. Chrome gives me ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error.

Plex itself doesn’t launch, I can’t restart it (synology says “unsuccessfull launch”), and I can’t even reinstall it.
I have “Port undefined, is being reserved or used by other service” message when trying to install latest package, downloaded from Plex.tv 5 minutes ago.
But…I don’t use 32400, and literally can’t tell what could utilize 32400 port…and I don’t have that complicated LAN, so I can 99% surely say 32400 belongs only to Plex.

Additionally, I have mikrotik as a gateway router, so it’s easy to track all ports used for incoming\outgoing connections.

For anyone from plex team…BTW, why I can’t attach stuff in TS post?

I have attempted to read your logs. They are highly contaminated and cause my text editors to fail & crash.

What is your environment there?
What is the locale?

As for the port being in use, restarting DSM will clear it. It happens when PMS is restarted too quickly. DSM doesn’t have time to release the port for reuse.

Contaminated? Lol, I’m not from china  Maybe, messy?

Well, I don’t know why it’s that bad, since I use plex once in a week for weekend movie.
Environment and locale - do you mean DSM ver, plex ver, volume paths, free volume, Hw, Sw?

I cannot explain it. It’s only on your files.

this is the only editor I can find which will display it. Look at the edit of each line below the pre-programmed header.

It’s a null before every newline

0001020 : e r r o r : \0 \n F e b 1

One of the runtine libraries on the system has a problem.

First, start with Plex.

stop, uninstall, restart DSM, then reinstall.

Yeah, I see. Well, no ideas so far what can cause it, since I have my NAS running in autonomus state, like, for months without my tweaking and dancing around, my main tool is VS2017 on PC anyway, not Synology docker or anything. :\

I removed docker for a start - useful tech, though much more of a headache here.
And I’ve restarted DSM, so Plex can be reinstalled again. I’ve also removed old library, so I’ll see what it has to say in, I guess, a day?

Is this a real DSM or XPEnology? That’s first step. I’ve seen cases where XPE goes off and misbehaves for no logical reason.

Please explain ‘main tool is VS2017’? You shouldn’t been needing any tools with PMS.

No, it’s a real DSM 6.2.2, DS916+.

VS2017 - My thought was to say that I don’t use DS as a workstation, for experiments, light work, etc. - i.e. my influence on syno system agents/services/processes is around zero, I use it only for storage/torrent/DLNA.
Thus I wanted to say that I have nothing extra to tell about why logs, or system is a mess, thats all

BTW, there is another folder looks to be useful, at least judjing by name - crash reports. Dunno, if it is dump files, logs or something different…

So, what’s it actually? Is it time to time related issue I should be aware of - or is there any permanent solution? I’ve removed docker and doc viewer - at least I’m 50% sure that was the issue.
