I’m running Plex Server on my WHS 2011 server build. It’s running a i7 processor plenty fast. It used to be pretty fast for Transcode syncs for my iPad but lately the past 6 months or so the conversion speed is anywhere between 0.3x and 0.7x for movies. Most items are 720p or 1080p MKV files converting to 480p for the iPad.
It doesn’t seem to matter what transcode settings I change it doesn’t matter. Make my CPU hurt etc.
I’ve been using Plex for like 4 years and never remember it being this slow. Must be an issue on my end.
All the Plex files and cache files are stored locally on the D drive so not even on the Pool.
