Plex server won't connect after fresh install

Please provide some details. Connect to what? What version number are you installing?

Once I install the plex server and open the plex webpage, I am taken to into my account page, but the plex server says t won’t connect and ‘a server cannot be found’ and instructs me to download the server again.

I’ve repeated this process but nothing seems to have worked.

  1. uninstalling the server

  2. clearing the cache and other files

Please try this. Deleting the 4 mentioned entries in the registry https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

I spoke too soon

when I try and claim my server it refreshes for a second

then says

’ no soup for you’

could not connect

I have the same problem…

I fixed it. I deleted the entire registry folder for plex

here is what I did

go into the registry

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc

delete the plex, INC folder

make sure plex is off

restart plex

it should restart the server connect process
