I reset My Windows 10 PC now Plex says server is unavailible . I tried a new account still no luck

I have reset my windows ten computer and no matter what I do I cant connect to the server. When I double click the server it opens the webpage and Im logged in but it says
Plex is currently unavailable
Verify you have a network connection and that the server is online,

I have tried opening a new account and signing in through the server but it still says the same. I have had plex for years and formatted my computer before and never had this trouble
any help will be greatly appreciated

Can you try to get to the server through the local IP and localhost to the bundled web app - to see if you can get to it

On the server itself in a browser, try
http://127.0.0.1:32400/web

Also you can try
http://192.168.0.4:32400/web

(The hosted web app through https://app.plex.tv/desktop won’t connect because it needs to have a secure https connection and you have that disabled)

I see that you had a server on 192.168.0.4 up to about 9 hours ago and then 4 hours later you had a new server setup on that IP address - named Home Server

and there was a third one before that

when you load plex web through 127.0.0.1 - can you go to Authorised Devices and filter by server and delete the old ones

Have you restored any of the old server settings in the registry?

Could you look for log files - default location is
%LocalAppData%\Plex Media Server\Logs

Ok so no matter what I did
Re install plex
Clear registry
Use cleaning tools
Follow every set of instructions on the web … it still would not work until …
I figured out that no matter what I did when I installed a new version of plex it was Automatically signing into the account that no longer works … What I had to do was log into the web page with that account and sign out of the server… then I had to sign into web page with new account and claim the server so the server was logged into new account … the old one would just not work …now the server is signed in correctly it works fine on my new account … thanks

Good that you found that out !

So it was authenticated to that plex.tv account and access would only be possible to that account

switching account would require access to the server with that account, then signing the server out in server settings and signing plex web out and signing with new plex.tv account and claiming the local server

But - clearing the registry should have allowed you to create a new server and claim it afresh

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server
