Plex Server that I downloaded for my Mac OS 10.14.6 Beta (18G59b) to be able to play what is no my computer on a Smart TV won’t install on my Mac. I get this message: “Plex Media Server.app” can’t be opened because it is from and unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers. Tried changing my security preferences, but couldn’t figure out how to do it. Any suggestions.
I have done all you suggested, but still get a message when I try to open the app saying: “Plex Media Server quit unexpectedly.” The message us quite long and gets longer each time I try to open the app. Although I did as you directed with Security & Privacy in my System Preference folder, part of the message says: “System Integrity Protection: enabled”. Could that be why it won’t open?
I use Opera.
