A friend of mine is sharing a few libraries. I’m not getting updates to the share. I was getting consistent updates on new content as it was added but I haven’t had a update in a couple of weeks. I’ve talked to my other friends and there libraries are updating. I have my own libraries on my own server that update without issue. Any idea why I’m the only user not seeing new content?
the shared library stopped showing new content. New media is showing up on everyone else’s apps. I use the web app, android, firestick, chromecast “wgtv”. It’s only my account. if I log into my devices with a friends account it shows all the latest content. Only my account stopped updating new content. I have access to everything added up until November 16th. I appreciate all willing to help.
Can you ask your friend to check if they’ve applied any sharing restrictions to your account?
You can configure a share to only include items that have been tagged with certain sharing labels… if they did that to your account, the content possibly doesn’t have that tag.
Okay, holidays have been hectic but here we go. Zero restrictions on my account, servers been optimized and restarted. I created a new account and had the same issue. Both accounts loaded the same content. Nothing added after November 16th. Any idea why I seem to be the only one having the issue? I’ve deleted my server, reinstalled. I never added it to the second account. I really appreciate all of you.
Them sharing libraries with you has nothing to do with your own server – so deleting / resetting / refreshing your own server won’t have any impact on things.
Are you sure they have added new media to the library they’re sharing with you since Nov 16?
