Hi,
plex is showing me that one season of the TV show is unavailable:
what’s the issue here? I did a rescan, nothing changed. The episodes are available and I can play them.
The Plex-Server is running on debian 11.
What can I do here?
Enter the season and inspect the pictures of the episodes. One or several might have the trash bin icon as well.
Inspect the Plex media info of these episodes. You might find that the affected episodes have actually not one but two or more files assigned – of which one might be unavailable.
Emptying the library trash should clear this situation up.
But it might not work if you have non-existent or completely empty folders in the properties of your library (on the “Add Folders” tab).
There is no Icon around and I checked the season folder… there are 24 files nothing more (no doubles)
I emptied the libary trash as well, but nothing changed.
There are no “duplicate” indicators anymore in the UI.
Check the plex media info anyway.
Put your library into the “Episodes” view mode, then engage the “Duplicates” quick filter.
Edit the library, go to the “Add Folders” tab, and check all paths listed in there if there any one is either completely empty, invalid or inaccessible.
Ich checked every single episode and checked for duplicates as you mentioned. No duplicates around or files that are missing.
I only have one folder for this library.
Is it possible to remove only one season and make a rescan?
Before trying that, check your database for corruption:
- activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 5 minutes
- fetch log files and attach them here
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
Another thing to look at is whether your server has exceeded the number of folders it is able to monitor for changes: Linux Tips - #9 by ChuckPa
Hm… I searched for “corrupt” or “malformed” - no results.

There are a lot of folders yes, but is this affected when I’m not using the auto-discover feature?
And new added files are shown up correctly.
Then Plex Dance the season.
Ok, made the dance and now it’s working 
Let’s go for the other TV shows (about 10) with that issue
