I just had an automatic upgrade of my Plex for Mac, now it just starts and shows a black screen, with no indication of what’s happening at all. HELP!
Can I downgrade to the previous version?

Same problem here after automatic update of Plex for Mac to version 1.44.
On my MacPro 6,1 running Mojave, the Plex logo shows up as usual when starting the client and then the window goes all black.
The Plex app doesn’t hangup and can be quit normally.
On my MacBook mid 2012, also running Mojave, Plex 1.44 works fine.
I went to time machine and restored an older version from before the automatic update, and it works fine. It tried to automatically update on startup but I declined it. Problem solved but not fixed.
That’s exactly what I did. But it only lasts until you restart the Plex app, then it updates itself when it starts. Simple solution is to make a zip-file of the 1.43, simpler than having to go to TimeMachine.
I have the same issue ![]()
Also 6,1
I am having this exact same problem also on a MacPro 6,1. I create another topic because it looks more server related than anything. I think they have an expired SSL certificate or some other authentication issues happening on their side.
Here’s my full log after completely deleting every directory and file on my Mac that had “Plex” or “plex” in it then removing the currently installed version, downloading the newest version and installing it. I would love to try an older version but I cannot find a list of older versions and their download links.

I couldn’t paste the log here because it was too long.
Same problem here, but on a Mac Studio. No problem with Plex HTPC though.
