Do not update. 1.40+ introduced many database changes. Updating now, while the server is not functioning correctly, could cause additional issues.
Did you delete something manually or are you referring to the Plex Dance?
Point a browser at the IP address of the NAS: https://syno_ip_address:32400/identity.
For example, if the IP address of the NAS is 10.1.2.3, use https://10.1.2.3:32400/identity.
You should see a line of XML containing either “claimed = 0” (unclaimed) or “claimed = 1” (claimed).
Do you receive a response from the server? If so, is it claimed or unclaimed?
Can you access Plex Server settings using the local IP address, http://syno_ip_address:32400/web?
If so:
- Stop Plex Media Server and wait 30 seconds.
- Start Plex Media Server and wait 3 minutes (to log the startup sequence).
- Retrieve a set of log files (Settings → Troubleshooting) and upload the zip file to the thread.
If you cannot reach server settings, then please do the following:
- Stop Plex Media Server and wait 30 seconds.
- Start Plex Media Server and wait 3 minutes (to log the startup sequence).
- Stop Plex Media Server.
- Using Synology File Station, navigate to the Plex Data Folder. Right click on the Logs directory and compress to Logs.zip. Download the zip file, then upload to the thread.
