After a password change on my server I am unable to link my plex account via the Plex Skill for Alexa.
I have accessed the “link account” button on the skill and entered my login info as requested. After pressing the “Sign In” button a message pops up on screen as follows:
“Thank you. You have been successfully signed in you will be redirected automatically.”
That screen disappears and I am returned to the Plex login page without Alexa actually linking to my Plex account.
I have disabled and reenabled the Plex skill each time I have tried to link the accounts.
The “authorized devices” tab in Plex shows the following in regard to my attempts to link the account.
I have also tried removing this from the “authorized devices” prior to each attempt at linking the accounts."
Any help will be appreciated!

Problem solved! Did not realize I had received an email from Amazon related to authorizing Alexa to access my Amazon account. Authorized the access and am once again able to use Alexa to listen to my PMS music collection.
If I need to create a new thread/post I can as I see OP fixed their issue.
I’ve been having the same issue since the data breach. I changed my password, and got all my devices resynced except for my echos/alexas. My process is a little different than what’s posted here.
Goes like this:
Alexa Ask Plex to play something,
“Uh oh, looks like there’s a problem with your Plex credentials, please see the Alexa app…”
SOOOO I open the app and see my request in the activity “Plex - Account Setup : Link Account button/link”… I click the link which opens a web browser (firefox focus) to login to Plex, I enter my password, then my authorization code (2FA), screen then shows “Do you authorize Alexa to access Plex” with an Authorize button, which I click and receive a “Plex has been successfully linked” in green.
I checked my email like what OP posted above and I only have an email from Amazon stating “Plex skill is now linked to your Amazon Account”…
I have attempted to disable and reenable the skill to no avail.
I attempted to change my default browser to Chrome, but I get stuck in a loop having to login to Plex, it “logs in” but asks to login again.
I see my activity in the Plex as authorizing Firefox, and Chrome. and Alexa down at the bottom.
This is frustrating. The Alexa app is 5h!7 …
EDIT: So apparently, I fixed this as well. The solution was that I had to be in MY account on Alexa?? That is… ask Alexa to switch to my account VS my wife’s (not plex account but rather alexa account). This was never a thing before. My wife still can’t play things from her account… hmmm i wonder if she’s getting emails as stated by OP.
