Alexa won't play Plex content after password change

Since having to change my password I can’t play content through My Alexa, I get the error “Playing music from provider Plex is not supported” I’ve signed out and back in to all devices and disabled the Plex skill and re-enabled it but no change.

After laboriously signing in to (most of) my devices after my password change, I settled in for the night and realized I cannot access Plex via my own Alexa devices. I tried to play something, and it returned something along the lines: “Your credentials have expired. You need to relink the Plex skill in the Alexa app.”

Did you do that? I did it just now. Don’t just disable and re-enable the skill. Under “Activity” in the Alexa app on my phone, it informs me that I need to “Re-Link” the Plex skill. Tapping that took me to a login page where I entered my credentials, after which I pressed the button authorizing the skill to access Plex.

If you do not see this, then go to the “Skills” section of your Alexa app, scroll to the bottom past ALL those suggestions by Amazon to find the “Your Skills” button. Tap it, and there is possibly a box in the top labeled “Attention”. This should show all skills that need attention (I assume), and Plex should be in that list as your credentials expired. It isn’t there for me, so I had to click the “Enabled” box and found it there. If tapping that doesn’t immediately start the process of linking, then tap the blue “Settings” button, and there should be a single option labeled “Account Linking” to start the process.

Unfortunately mine says Linked, disabling this skill will unlink your device. I can’t see any other way to unlink it apart from disabling it but I’ve tried this many times

Yeah, it appears that disabling the skill is how you unlink the account. What I am not clear on is if it DOES unlink if you disable/re-enable the skill for you. Does it unlink for you when you do this, and does it ask you to link?

Or does disabling and re-enabling the skill NOT unlink? If this, it’s a more serious issue. Can you revoke authorization for the Alexa skill using your server dashboard?

If this doesn’t work, something might be borked in your account (on either service). I wonder if we can get a Plex Ninja/dev to chime in on checking up on this.

Got it working, no idea how, I’ve disabled the Plex skill at least a dozen times and gave up, I just thought I’d try again and its now working, cheers for the help, hopefully it stays working.
