Hi I’m new, hope this is okay to post
Since June 18 I’m having trouble playing any TV or movie files on any of our Amazon Firesticks. My family has 3 between us all, and they are all the same. The file is either slow, lags or does not play at all.
My shared users are having the same problems!
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Any help or suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!!
Server Version#: Windows PC Server 1.19.4.2935
Player Version#: Amazon Fire-Stick Plex 8’1’2’18135
There are so many errors occurring with agents and transcoding on your server. Maybe a Ninja can help.
Did you change anything prior to the problem starts?
@CostaHT Thanks for the reply!!
That’s the thing, I didn’t change anything (unless there was a windows update) on the server computer. We were actually watching PLEX from Fire stick in afternoon with no problems, but later that evening I could get nothing to play.
It is possible, I could have loaded more shows to other libraries from another computer, but could that cause any errors like this?
And this may be a very silly question… but what is a Ninja??
Each user has a level here in this forum. Mine, like yours is Plex Pass. Ninjas are people who have more knowledge about how plex works, and some I think are Plex employees. Because of that, they know what most error messages mean.
Definitely not
@JuiceWSA do you have any idea of what could be happening on her server?
Attached are the Logs from today!
I had a few people try to watch something today and looks like they kept getting Session Terminated Errors.
I’m also getting Failed to delete Session Directory… … file being used by another process
And Unknown Metadata type: folder (which is weird because I haven’t changed any of the naming or folder permissions)
I’m really stumped! Would certainly welcome some smarts here!!
Thanks so much!
Cheers,
Tash.
Not sure what happened, but fantastic news!! My PLEX is up and running great!!
Thanks so much for all your help!! It was much appreciated!!
Cheers,
Tash.
Hmm. The app on Amazon just updated to 8.2.1, but there isn’t anything specific to address your issues. Guess it got magically fix with another change.
