Plex sorting all episodes into season one

For some reason Plex has started incorrectly sorting episodes of many of my shows by cramming every episode across all seasons into season one. For example, I have Rick and Morty organized into files using the "Rick and Morty - xxx - format, where season one episodes are 101-110, season 2 episodes are 201-210, and so on. But all of the episodes are being sorted into season one, and none are being given titles or descriptions anymore. Season 2 episode 1, for example, is being sorted as “Season 1 • E201.”

Is anyone else having this problem?

According to the support docs, Plex needs the season/episode numbers in the format “sXXeXX.” So the full path would look like this:
/TV Shows/ShowName/Season 02/ShowName – s02e17 – Optional_Info.ext

Could that be the problem?

Well I’ve been using that episode format for more than a decade now with no problems. So, unless they recently changed the requirements I wouldn’t think so.

Looking at the TVDB, Rick and Morty “season one episodes are 101-110, season 2 episodes are 201-210” this numbering is not used in any order (Aired, DVD, Absolute). They reflect:
S01E01 Pilot
S01E02 Lawnmower Dog
S01E03 Anatomy Park
S01E04 M. Night Shaym-Aliens!
S01E05 Meeseeks and Destroy
S01E06 Rick Potion #9
S01E07 Raising Gazorpazorp
S01E08 Rixty Minutes
S01E09 Something Ricked This Way Comes
S01E10 Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind
S01E11 Ricksy Business
