In march I made a topic about how the Plex player on my Shield TV skips some songs some of the time. I got no response from staff in that thread that are now locked so I make a new one.
In the other thread there were some responses from others with the same and similar problem and since music is a rather big part of Plex I think it’s a bit strange that no staff showed any interest in the problem.

My old explanation is still relevant.
What happens is that when I choose a song it will be shown in a split second before it jumps to the next one. If I choose the very same song again it *might *work. Or it might not. If I keep choosing the same song over and over again it will eventually work…
The same thing happens when I play an entire album or playlist. If I press play on an entire album the first couple of songs might play fine but eventually it will skip a song.
This can happen to a single song at the time or several songs that are directly after each other. Meaning that if I want to play song 1 it might skip both song 1, 2 and 3 until it starts playing song 4. Most of the time it “only” skips one or two songs though.
It’s as if Plex spends a split second searching for the song but then gives up immediately if it can’t find it.
Server Version#: 1.24.1.4931 (on a Truenas machine)
Player Version#: Can’t check at the moment, but it was updated a week or three ago.
