I had the same issue after updating to version 1.25.8.5621. Would check on the server every morning to find it had died. Updated to the latest version yesterday (1.25.8.5663) and it didn’t die overnight. This item from the release notes might be related?
(Windows) Sonic Analysis would fail.
Fingers crossed that stability is restored for the long term.
Unfortunately, this fix has not resolved my issue since Plex continues to crash as before. What information do you need from me so this can be resoloved.
Hello, I accepted the invitation from rhody96 to join his Plex home without reading the rest of the email and now he has become admin of my server and all my home users have been removed. Is there a way to remove rhody96 as admin and restore me as admin and my home user group.
I have updated to Version 1.26.1.5772 however Plex is still failing every 1 to 2 days. Do you have any further recommendations? Can I provide you with more information to help you resolve this issue.
I’m having the exact same issue. It’s still running, and who ever is streaming can still do it… but anyone new is locked out, and the server is completely unresponsive.
This has been an ongoing issue, that’s got worse in the last week or so, and even persists when I rollback. I honestly don’t know what is happening, and honestly it’s making me crazy. It’s a daily occurrence, and its ruining what was a stable experience for me and everyone who uses it, for years!!
I have been trying to contact support and get a resolution and have asked if they need further info to help resolve the issue without any response or resolution!!!
I downloaded the logs after a period of being locked out of plex, and saw that a device was trying to download files, and as I only have this enabled for one user (probably due to previous issues I had long forgot about). So I disabled downloading for them, and lo and behold the issue disappeared!
Investigating it with them, they found their iPad had stuff in the download queue that they couldn’t cancel at all. This may have been an issue carried over from Plex changing from syncing to downloading, but who honestly knows!
On another note, Apple devices have a habit of leaving their connection to Plex as active, even when its not! Which means allocated slots per account gets eaten up, and can only be resolved by restarting Plex.
Anyhow I’m happy this issue is resolved… Plex is actually running better than ever now!
