PLex stops...starts...stops....starts...stops. Slow internet message-not true

Used to have to convert movies to M to get good results. Now nothing helps. Plex pauses, starts, pauses, etc. I get a message that my internet is too slow, but it’s very fast…verified by my IP and on line speed tests.
So aggravating.
Someone said to go with something called Ruku?
Help!!!

mind sharing some details on your setup?
e.g.

  • are you playing content from your own server or content shared with you by somebody else?
  • are you playing content from within your home network or through a remote connection?
  • what kind of machine is running your Plex Media Server (e.g. NAS vs. PC – what model, specs?)
  • speaking of network speeds…
    • if remote playback is involved… what’s the upload speed speed of the PMS, your download speed?
    • do you use wired or wireless home network?
  • what client do you use to play the content?
  • have you tried to direct-play the given content?
