Plex stops working or closes on vidaa

Yes, it would be nice if the developers did their job well, but that’s not the case.

Come on Plex devs, fix the app for Hisense TVs!!!

We need more people in the forum complaining, if not they will not do anything.

the problem is still not fixed.

As mentioned before, we’ve reported these issues to Hisense for their team to investigate further, to date they’ve been unable to reproduce even though we’ve supplied more evidence of the issue to help troubleshoot further.

At a high level Hisense’s support is accurate, we are indeed responsible for the Plex app itself, but when it comes to player issues we need to integrate with their platform and that is where they too need to assist with issues. It’s not uncommon for us to report playback issues and wait for fixes to be released.

In some of the cases where we’ve reproduced out of memory crashing, most are with files that have DTS audio tracks (but not all files with DTS audio are problematic). One workaround that works for some files is to disable DTS (DCA) audio in Settings: Audio, this will result in the playback direct streaming (transcoding the audio, but not the video).

If you can provide sample files that reproduce the issue within the Plex app we can continue to provide them with test files that exhibit issues.
