Plex stuttering HD-audio on Nvidia Shield Tube

Hi,
I am having a stuttering problem when playing mkv files with Dolby Atmos (e.g. the Dolby Atmos trailers), also my movies have stuttering audio. In the Plex client on the Shield, I have HDMI passthroughs dolby audio processing OFF, resolution switching OFF, refresh rate switching ON.
In the Shield Tube I have audio settings on manual (selecting all possible audio formats),
Stuttering is noticeable better when I put off refresh rate switching, but stutter is still present.

Any ideas?
My projector is a JVC X7900 with 4K e-shift capability.
