Plex switching Artist and Albumname

This is my first Post in this Forum please be patient

I searched for hours now and i cant find the mistake i made or a post adressing this so i dont know where to put this.

My problem is that when i add Music to Plex the Artist is displayed as Albumname and vice versa.

You can Probably see my Problem here:

That can’t be right, as it would be stupid.

This is the way you are supposed to structure your music:

/Music
/Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
01 - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V).m4a
02 - Welcome to the Machine.mp3
03 - Have a Cigar.mp3
/Foo Fighters - One By One
/Foo Fighters - There is Nothing Left to Lose
/U2 - Joshua Tree

This is how i arranged my music:

I can’t see my mistake :pensive: ( Probably something obvious and i am just dumb )

Anyway, every help is apprechiated and thanks for your time.

**PS: This is my first post so formatting is probably making you cry,
English is not my native language so sorry for all those mistakes **

No, I cannot. Please show the whole screen. So that we can see from which page this was taken and which ā€˜filter’ and ā€˜sort’ settings you were using.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I edited the post so you can see the whole thing.

Above the album thumbnails,
On the left side, there’s a drop-down selector which is currently set to ā€œAlbumsā€.
Switch it to ā€œArtistsā€.
What happens? Are you seeing now proper artist names or still album titles?

It shows the Artists proper names..

When i click on an Artist the albums will show with proper names

It seems that it knows which the Artist and which hte albumname is but still Displays them in wrong order?

Kinda Confusing

Now I got it. It is actually not switching the Album artist and the album title. What it does, it gets the sorting order wrong when you switch to this screen initially.
So the sorting order dropdown is simply lying to you.

After you toggle the sorting order twice (i.e. back and forth ā€˜by Title’) you can see the real By Album Title sorting order.
This one is a known issue and has been reported already.
