Ah yes, the infamous “Waiting to download” bug has hit me. The conversion completes and once it hits 50% on all devices, I get the “Waiting to download” message and the device hangs there and never seems to proceed. I’ve tried syncing shows to the following devices, all getting the same error:
Kindle Fire 10
iPad Air 2 running ios 12.x
iPad Pro running ios 13.x
Obviously it’s server side but I’m not sure what it is - I’ve got the logs and don’t see anything during my last sync which is obvious. I’ll be happy to provide logs but thought I should probably DM them to staff rather than post them - let me know.
Syncing has worked flawlessly for years and now I’m getting ‘Waiting to download’ on my Plex 3 XL phone at 50%. Sync Status on my Plex server shows the note ‘Waiting to be downloaded’.
After clicking Sync it goes through the converting process and then when it’s time to actually download it freezes with the ‘Waiting to download’ message.
Under STATUS, the Conversions tab is empty and the Sync tab shows items waiting to be downloaded.
Same here, sync has been working relatively ok for a while, but I started having “waiting to download” issues since i upgraded my PMS to 1.18.4.2164. Everything is stuck on “waiting to download”. In the past, when it got stuck, pressing the refresh button and pausing and starting usually did the trick, but that doesn’t work anymore. All my Android devices that synced fine now have this problem, even tried the delete all offline content and re-syncing and still doesn’t work. Seems to be a server side issue, restarting PMS makes no difference. Any suggestions @sa2000 ?
I had to reinstall Plex in a new jail on my FreeNAS box. Right after I installed it I tested a sync and it worked fine. I then updated to the latest Plex server s/w and now I’m ‘Waiting to download’.
This really looks like a s/w prob, does anyone from Plex read this forum?
