I have a tablet that I have plex installed on that I sync with my server for kids movies. I recently had to move my server to a new pc. Now when I try to sync a new movie to the tablet I get the message “Unable to sync User XXX has synced content on this device. That content must be deleted before you can sync with your current account.” So does this mean that I have to delete all the movies on the device 30+ then have to select each move again to be converted and synced. from the new server which uses the same plex account?
You can only sync with a single Plex user at a time. That dialog is usually seen when you sync, then switch Plex users and try to sync with the second account.
Did you create a new Plex user account as part of your migration?

the only thing that changed is I moved my plex server to a new pc. So the server changed only, I didn’t change anything on the tablet.
From the client’s perspective it definitely looks like a new user account. You might post in the appropriate client-side forum, they might be able to tell you more.
