I believe this is being done by design but when listening to Synced music in the plex app it constantly sends updates back to the server with the currently played status. While the packets are small over time this can start to add up.

We used to be able to put the application in offline mode using the offline toggle which forced plex to only use items that were currently synced. I think we need to bring this functionality back, the whole point of syncing my data is to not talk to the server all the time. By not allowing a toggle the only way to force plex to is to put my device in airplane mode and that is not an acceptable solution.
