Plex tells me I have no TV Show content but I can access it through the Home category. How do I fix this?

My shield client doesn’t show any TV show content but I can view it from the HOME screen. When accessing Plex from the web on my laptop the TV SHOW content is displayed and it doesn’t tell me there isn’t any media.

I’ve optimized the server and cleaned bundles but nothing has worked so far.

Reset your Home Screen Customization. Top right of the screen, click on the three dots

Damn, was hoping that’d work but It didn’t. Still says my library is currently empty.

Left menu, if you click More don’t you see your TV Shows library there?

Yeah, but it displays no content. Meanwhile the web portal displays the content. I’ve tried deleting the TV SHOW library and recreating the library but the Plex client on the Shield still says it has no content even though you can see the content in the HOME category

Seems obvious but can you make sure you’re using on your shield the same account you see at your server? (Settings > General)

Yup, I am. Here’s the logs in case anyone wants to take a peek. I tried but have no idea what to look for and the wall of text gave me a headache

Your data base is corrupted.
Settings > troubleshooting > clean bundles then optimize database. Check if anything changes

Yeah, I’ve tried cleaning bundles and optimizing the database to no effect. I’ll look into repairing the database and report back. How’d you figure it was corrupted? No info on how to repair on a Shield. Do you know how?

The database is on the server. There’s messages in your logs that it’s corrupted

I’m gonna need someone employed by Plex to create a guide on repairing a database when you have a Shield. Their help guides aren’t so helpful when it comes to the Shield

So for anyone googling and stumbling on this I just said screw the repairing and moved a backup DB file into the main database location. I force stopped my the Plex server on the shield and copied the backup into the folder where the OG database is stored. I deleted that database and renamed the backup by getting rid of the date that’s tagged on to it. I also deleted the shm and wal files.

All that fixed my issues with the TV SHOW content not displaying.
