I’ve been having a heck of a time getting the new Skip Intro feature working for the past several days. While I’ve gotten a couple seasons here and there to scan, it takes an ungodly amount of time. Watching the temp file the transcoder is making, it appears to be running at a few hundred KBps at best. Needless to say, I’ll never make it through my library at this rate.
I’ve been messing around with Process Hacker to try and figure out what’s going on here. Despite the normal transcoder process running at a snails pace, if I copy the appropriate environment variables and run the exact same command in cmd, the process takes only a second or two, What could be causing this extreme bottleneck?
Please look at Intro Detect Job never completes for suggestions I’ve made. Also check your server setting and make sure you didn’t turn off the video transcoder. This seems to be impacting the intro detection.
Wow. The “Paused Conversion” status was totally the problem. Started a new conversion, and it was already paused. Started it and we’re good to go now. Can’t believe I missed that thread when I was searching before. Thanks!
